Tagore Memorial
Education Association Raichur is one of the oldest prestigious
and esteemed Institutions. It was established in the year 1962
in socially, educationally and economically backward district
of Hyderabad-Karnataka region. The main objective of association
was to fulfill the educational needs and aspirations of backward
Raichur district. At present, The association has been running
and managing Twelve institutions providing offeradable qualitative
education to economically weaker sections of Raichur district.
Sita Subba Raju Memorial College is one among them.
Higher education was not accessible to the poor people of rural
area in general and SC,ST OBCs and minorities in particular in
the Raichur district. Realizing the fact that social development
was not possible without higher education facilities. Keeping
it in mind, our social concerned association established Tagore
Memorial Arts College Raichur in the year 1983. Later on, its'
name was changed into Sita Subba Raju Memorial College Raichur
after donor shri N S Boseraju.
The main objective of setting up of Sita Subba Raju Memorial College
Raichur is to provide qualitative higher education to rural students
with special focus on SC,ST,OBC and Minorities of Raichur district.
We feel proud to say that most of students who studied in our
college have been serving society in different capacities.
Sita Subba Raju Memorial College Raichur is affiliated permanently
to Gulbarga University ,Kalaburagi and approved by concerned competitive
authority of State Government.Institution has been assessed and
accredited by NAAC with B grade in second cycle.The College is
also included in 12(f) and 2(B) of University Grants Commission
Act.
Management Committee of our Association and Governing Body
of college are always in forefront and kind enough to extend
financial assistance and moral support for the academic development
in particular and all round development of college in general.
